Fond of wool
New uses for traditional Norwegian motifs
The Norwegian designer Turid Lindeland was inspired by old Norwegian knitting patterns. It started with a pair of old socks she found in a traditional hotel from 1887 in Rosendal, Norway. Those socks were the starting point for knits with new applications and color combinations, with which she has created her very own rural, Scandinavian atmosphere. She knitted socks, pillows and covers, crocheted rugs and shawls, knitted bags, chair covers and sweaters. She also shows the effect of different color combinations, so that you can decide for yourself which colors and styles suit you. This book is, apart from a knitting book, also a wonderful leaf book, with inspiring photos of the Norwegian landscape.
